Hi! My name is Olivia, and I am a digital designer and developer who enjoys building websites and strengthening brand identities for growing businesses. I am passionate about building sites that allow business owners to connect meaningfully and efficiently with their clients.

Let’s Talk About Intentionality

It’s a big word. What does it mean to be intentional? A quick Google search will tell you that it simply means to do something deliberately; however, being intentional goes deeper than that. Intentionality is being thoughtful, considerate, compassionate. It’s choosing to slow down and think before you speak and act. It’s taking time to reflect on how your decisions might have an impact on the future (whether that’s related to you or others). I believe there is a place for intentionality in every aspect of life, especially in the world of business.

Content is everywhere in front of us at all times. Along with that, over 1.6 billion websites exist on the web as of today. How many of these things are made to be thoughtful? Considerate? Compassionate? My desire is to work with businesses to create content that their customers think about long after they’ve first seen it. I want to create content that customers want to view again and again and share with friends and loved ones, content that people feel inspired by. Let’s be intentional about the content we are creating and providing to others.

How It All Started

Like many other artists, I’ve been interested in art since before I can remember. Though I enjoyed other subjects in school, art is always where I felt the most connected. Convinced I wasn’t going to attend a four-year university after graduating high school with my Associate’s degree, I made a split decision to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Arts at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

Studying digital arts in those two years at UNCW opened my mind to the endless possibilities of careers ahead of me. It challenged me to combine my strengths with my passions, and I thrived both mentally and academically in my studies of website development and digital design. I graduated from UNCW in May of 2021 and spent the remainder of that year growing my knowledge in digital marketing working full-time for a local small business.

At the end of that year, I felt a strong call away from my job and a pull towards pursuing a career as an independent digital designer. Now, here I am! I could not be more grateful for all of the partnerships I have been able to build so far in this journey, and I can’t wait for all of those that are yet to come.
